Hosts list nights that would otherwise stay empty, at a standby rate. The discount comes with one condition: the host can take the villa back with at least 18 hours' notice. That's the bump.

Every villa shows what it costs on other sites next to its Bumpr price, so you can check the gap yourself.

No. You can book for tonight or tomorrow night, never further ahead. Each villa shows which of those nights it has before you pay. Booking this close to the night is part of why the rates stay this low.

At the villa

Nothing. Bumpr is the merchant of record.

Only if you choose to save it. Your card details go straight to our payment provider, Airwallex, and never reach Bumpr. A saved card is only charged when you confirm a booking yourself, and you can remove it in the app at any time.

A bump ends your stay early so the villa can go back to its host. It's the trade behind the price: you pay a fraction of the villa's rate, and you accept that the stay can be cut short with notice.

Most stays never see one. If you need one specific villa for your whole trip, guaranteed, Bumpr isn't the right fit for that trip.

At least 18 hours. Your stay continues unchanged until the release time in your notice.

For the first 12 hours, your booking can't be bumped at all. Booking for tonight, they start when you pay. Booking for tomorrow night, they start when the villa opens for check-in.

A tomorrow-night booking can also be ended before it starts, until 08:00 Bali time on the day. If that happens, everything you paid is refunded.

Every unused night is refunded in full, automatically, with its share of the service fee and card processing. You don't need to ask.

No. We line up villas of comparable or better standard, and the choice is yours. If you book one, it's a new booking at its listed price.

Yes, any time, before or during your stay. The same rule covers both:

With 1 night booked, that night is always the next upcoming night, so it's the one that's kept. The host is still paid for it: they took it off sale for you, on the same day it could have sold.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, in the currency you paid in. We start them within 2 business days, and banks usually take 5–10 more.

If nothing has arrived after 10 business days, or the amount looks wrong, message us with your booking and we'll look into it.

A valid photo ID. The name on it has to match the name on your Bumpr profile, so check it before you book.

Message us straight away, with a photo if you can. We'll work it out with the host, and suggest other villas if that's the better fix.

Yes, if the villa is free. In the app, open your booking and change check-out. The extra nights cost the same nightly price you booked at, charged to your card.

Yes, before you check in. Open the villa you'd rather have and choose switch villa. The new stay is a new booking at its own price, protected for 12 hours like any other.

Day before

Switch before the day your first stay starts, and everything comes back except card processing.

On the day

Switch on the day it starts, and one night is kept. The rest comes back.

In the Bumpr app, or at hosting.bumpr.rent. If your villa is already on Airbnb, paste the listing link and we'll bring in the photos and details for you to check before anything goes live.

The ones you don't expect to sell elsewhere. Bumpr only sells tonight and tomorrow night, so a guest here is filling a night that was about to go empty, and you can still take it back with notice.

Once a booking is past its protected window, you can bump it from the app. Your guest gets your villa's notice period and stays until the release time.

Either it's still inside its protected window, or check-out is closer than your notice period. If fewer hours are left before your villa's check-out time than your notice period, the stay simply ends as booked.

Yes, for the nights your guest stayed. Their unused nights are refunded to them automatically, and we line up other villas for them. You don't have to arrange anything.

48 hours after the stay ends, we send your payout to your bank account. The wait lets any late refund or guest issue settle first, so a payout never has to be taken back. If that falls on a weekend, it goes out on Monday.

In the Bumpr app, under your payout details. Payouts go to an Indonesian bank account, in IDR.

Your share is fixed when the guest books and converted to rupiah on payout day, so the amount that arrives can differ a little from the estimate in the app.

Yes, for every night they stayed plus the next upcoming night, at your full rate. Nights after that go back to the guest. The same rule applies if they leave early.

A valid photo ID. The name on it has to match the guest's Bumpr profile, which you'll see on the booking.

You can charge the guest directly for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Message us too, so we have it on the booking.
